In an interview they will ask you to talk about a time you had a budget and lived with what it cost. A lecture hall does not give you that story. gslk started as one club — the Graičiūno studentų lyderystės klubas (Graičiūnas Student Leadership Club), at Vytautas Magnus University's Faculty of Economics and Management. It's named for Vytautas Andrius Graičiūnas, a Lithuanian-American management theorist who taught at VMU and gave the world its formula for span of control — how many people one leader can genuinely lead.
That club's own tools — the org system, the competency tracking, the handover model — became gslk: built now for any student organization that wants the same rigor, wherever it is.
