Finding sponsors: parama (charitable support), paid sponsorship, and reporting back afterwards
You start looking for a sponsor when the money is already needed — which means too late, and with no numbers. The first job is one page about yourselves; the letter comes after it.
You promise a logo, receive a transfer and never notice you just sold a service you had no right to sell; one word, sponsorship, covers three different transactions.
Write one page and send it to nobody: how many people actually come, what year and field they are in, how many hours the team puts in itself. Then one sentence on what you are asking for — in kind first, money only where nothing else will do — and the date you will send the report.
